The initiative "Electronic Slot Machines for Peace" aims to legalize about 100,000 devices.
Colombia.- On the upcoming September 20th, Coljuegos will start in Ibagué, Tolima, the territorial socialization days of the strategy "Electronic Slot Machines for Peace", through which it is intended to legalize about 100,000 gambling devices that currently operate in the country without authorization.
“We invite you this Friday to learn about our regulation of the MET’S for peace, a strategy through which we will take an important step towards the formalization of the popular economies that, today, are in illegality”, said Marco Emilio Hincapié, president of Coljuegos.
The event will take place in the auditorium of the Chamber of Commerce of Ibagué. This socialization will be directed to merchants and shopkeepers of the capital of Tolima who have electronic slot machines in their businesses operating without Coljuegos authorization.
“We are implementing this strategy in accordance with the ‘Total Peace’ program of our president Gustavo Petro. With this, we seek to prevent criminal problems and sanctions for the working families who, due to ignorance of the law, have illegal slot machines in their stores”, added Hincapié.
In this way, through "MET’S for peace", those who have elements operating without Coljuegos authorization can associate until completing at least 80 machines to request the respective authorization before the entity.
