A senior official from one of Malaysia's most powerful Islamic parties stated that if they come to power in Pahang state in the next national election, they will permanently close the casino at Resorts World Genting, owned by Genting Group.
Alcohol is also targeted by the party, which has ruled out the possibility of cooperating with the existing coalition and has vowed to promote Islamic faith and issues.
