At the beginning of 2024, Caleta Gaming obtained the MGA B2B license, allowing the Brazilian studio to provide its content to operators based in Malta. Since then, Caleta has been increasingly committed to meeting the requirements of various regulated markets and has just renewed its contract with Gaming Laboratories International (GLI®) for certifications in Brazil.
With the announcement of Ordinance SPA/MF No. 1.207, dated July 29, 2024, which establishes the technical requirements for fixed quota online games in Brazil, Caleta moves forward to have its portfolio certified for the Brazilian market. The goal is to make it available to all operators who will be licensed from January 1, 2025.
For this, it renewed its certification contract with Gaming Laboratories International (GLI®), the first laboratory to be approved by the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA) of the Ministry of Finance.
“In the face of the ongoing regulatory process in Brazil, this alliance becomes even more strategic, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of safety, transparency, and compliance,” commented Paulo Nova, co-founder and CTO.
Fabíola Jaeger, co-founder and CEO, added: “Through the renewal of this contract we reinforce our commitment to offering a reliable gaming experience aligned with regulatory demands, both in the Brazilian market and globally.”
In addition to submitting various games from its portfolio, Caleta will also certify its RNG (Random Number Generator), which is the system that generates a sequence of numbers between a minimum and maximum value, used to generate random results, and its RGS, which is the central game controller, responsible for managing the game flow, communication between provider and platforms, including the player's wallet.
“The regulation in Brazil is aligned with the best practices of the gaming industry and we were the first laboratory authorized to certify in the country. Our partnership with Caleta fills us with pride in being alongside a Brazilian game provider in constant growth and evolution,” highlighted Valter Delfraro Jr., executive of government relations and business development at GLI.
“Caleta has always demonstrated proactivity in the regulatory process, certifying its games even before our market had its own requirements,” reinforced Delfraro Jr.
GLI made history by becoming, in 2006, the first independent game testing laboratory to achieve ISO 17025 certification. In 2024, it repeated this milestone by being the first laboratory authorized by the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting to certify games in Brazil.
Leveraging the certification process for the Brazilian market, Caleta will also soon ensure the certification of its games for other Latin American markets, such as Peru and Colombia.
Recognized as one of the leading casino game providers in Brazil, Caleta Gaming has stood out for over a decade by offering exceptional experiences. With efficient API integration for operators, platforms, and aggregators, the company has developed an in-house portfolio of over 130 varied games.
Its own technology also allows for the rapid creation of customized games, enhancing the brand of its partners and offering a diverse experience.
