SOFTSWISS, a global technology expert with over 15 years of experience in innovative solutions for iGaming, announced the integration of a horse racing module into its sportsbook software. Initially, it will be available in South Africa, expanding SOFTSWISS's offerings.
Horse racing has been a traditional and significant sector of the betting industry, especially in regions with strong ties to the United Kingdom, such as South Africa, Canada, Japan, and New Zealand. According to research, the global horse racing betting market is projected to reach 82.6 billion euros by 2032, registering a CAGR of 7.6% between 2023 and 2032.
With its rich history and expected growth, the horse racing module offers operators additional business opportunities, covering on average, 320 local races and 2,150 international races in 14 different countries monthly.
Originally developed by Turfsport, a prominent South African software provider with 35 years of experience in the iGaming industry, acquired by SOFTSWISS, the horse racing module allows players to place fixed odds bets on multiple markets.
The main features of the horse racing module include race cards, silks, and various types of bets. The solution is designed with flexibility, offering unique skins and settings to align with various brand identities.
Alexander Kamenetskyi, head of sportsbook at SOFTSWISS, comments: "The acquisition of a majority stake in a major South African software provider allowed us to integrate the SOFTSWISS sportsbook with the Turfsport horse racing module, expanding our offering. The launch of this module in South Africa is aligned with our recent expansion in the region, where we obtained local certifications for our casino and sportsbook platform.”
“Horse racing remains highly popular, especially in South Africa, but we are confident that this product has strong global potential. This integration marks just the first step in the ongoing development of the horse racing offering in our sportsbook”, he added.
At the beginning of 2024, SOFTSWISS introduced two new products related to South Africa: the Lotto Software and the Retail Betting Solution. The Lotto Software allows operators to offer a wide range of betting options on customizable lottery numbers, independent of traditional lottery organizers.
Optimization for desktop and mobile ensures personalized and quick betting options for players. The comprehensive Retail Betting Solution supports a wide variety of betting activities, such as sports betting, lotteries, horse racing, and casino games. It enables operators to establish offline gaming businesses quickly and legally.
SOFTSWISS will display its latest portfolio updates at the SBC Summit Lisbon from September 24 to 26. Visitors at booth B160 will have the opportunity to learn more about the recent improvements in the SOFTSWISS ecosystem.
