SkillOnNet and Betterlore have launched a completely unique game that blends the nostalgic feel of traditional arcade games with a genuine high-tech experience. "The Coin Pusher" allows players to control a real coin pusher machine, with game visuals being streamed live from Betterlore's studio in Europe directly to the player's home. This unique gaming experience is currently available on some of SkillOnNet's networks in select markets and will be launched globally in the coming months.
Coin pushers, also known as coin push bars or bulldozers, are very popular in arcade halls around the world. The working principle of a coin pusher is exactly the same as its name suggests. Players throw coins into the play area, aiming to push others to the edge. They then sit back and watch the game in real time, with every coin and chip drop being immediately credited to the player's wallet.
There are over 100 different game settings available for players to choose from, although each player can only control one game setting at a time. The coin pusher ensures minimal latency, guaranteeing smooth, real-time gameplay that accurately reflects every move and coin drop.
This is the first game launched by Betterlore, a startup aimed at combining popular physical game machines with the power of online technology. Through this approach, the company says it is creating a new category of online games that includes real-time mechanisms as well as real-time two-way interaction between players and the game machine.
SkillOnNet is a global entertainment giant, operating dozens of market-leading igaming brands in multiple regulated jurisdictions worldwide. These include the well-known PlayOJO in the UK and Ontario, PlayUZU in Spain, Mexico, Peru, and Buenos Aires, BacanaPlay in Portugal, and DrueckGlueck in Germany.
SkillOnNet's Head of Games, Jani Kontturi, stated: "This is not just about pushing coins, it's about breaking boundaries. The coin pusher combines the thrill of classic arcades with the convenience of online gaming, something you can't find on the internet. Betterlore is a truly exciting new company bringing fresh ideas to the industry. We can't wait to see what they come up with next."
Betterlore's Sales and Business Development Manager, Maximilian Schmitt, said: "Coin pushers are beloved around the world, and everyone knows how to play. Therefore, we are thrilled to be developing our first game in partnership with a truly global company like SkillOnNet, as we believe the coin pusher will be very popular in multiple markets."
