Sportradar (NASDAQ: SRAD) will further transform the betting landscape by launching micro-markets (next-generation live betting products) that will cover leading sports events, opening up new revenue streams for operators. As a strategic move, Sportradar is collaborating with Tennis Data Innovations (TDI) to launch micro-markets for ATP tennis matches in October this year. This exclusive partnership marks another step forward for Sportradar in providing more detailed and attractive tennis betting options for bettors. Sportradar currently offers micro-markets for other popular sports events, including football and table tennis.
By leveraging advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and deep tennis data from TDI, Sportradar will provide operators with cutting-edge solutions capable of processing hundreds of thousands of data points per match. The result is eight different micro-markets expected to generate about 1,500 new betting opportunities per match.
Sportradar's unique ATP tennis micro-markets include:
The next break point
The next serve being an ace, a return, or a double fault
Who will serve the next ace
All scoring outcomes (Player 1 wins; Player 1 faults, Player 2 wins; Player 2 faults)
Total shots taken
The type of the last hit (e.g., serve, return, forehand, backhand, or volley)
Karl Danzer, Senior Vice President of Sportradar Odds Services, stated: "The launch of micro-markets highlights Sportradar's commitment to leading the industry with advanced proprietary technology, providing unparalleled opportunities to engage fans and generate new revenue in popular betting sports like tennis."
Sportradar plans to further expand its micro-markets in the first half of 2025, adding American football, baseball, basketball, and ice hockey.
Micro-betting is a form of live betting that allows operators to bet on specific short-term outcomes within a game or event.
