An illegal online betting network was dismantled during an operation deployed in Santa Fe and the South of Greater Buenos Aires.
Argentina.- A gang dedicated to illegal betting was dismantled after a series of raids carried out at different points in the province of Buenos Aires and Santa Fe, after investigators followed the trail of the existence of a clandestine online casino. Judicial sources indicated that five members of the criminal organization were arrested as a result of the operation carried out to dismantle the network.
The procedure was carried out by personnel from the Provincial Institute of Lotteries and Casinos (IPLyC) of Buenos Aires and the Ministry of Security, who led a total of nine raided targets in the south of Greater Buenos Aires and the province of Santa Fe, where, in addition to the arrest of the alleged leader of the criminal gang, four administrators of the gang were also arrested.
According to official sources, there were also six other people charged with the crime established in article 301 Bis of the Penal Code, commercialization of illegal gambling.
The case, known as online casino Bet-71.com, is being processed before the UFI 8, and the Court of Guarantees 8 of the Judicial Department of Lomas de Zamora.
In the police report, it is noted that the agents seized USD53,400, AR$25m (USD25,900), R$5,000 (USD920), a Ford Ranger Limited 4×4 0km; a Peugeot 208 Feline model 2023, two property deeds, two firearms, 37 cell phones, and eight notebooks.

All the seized items, including goods and money, according to judicial sources, reach a total sum of AR$200m (USD200,000) that were in the possession of the accused.
