Australia.- The Star Entertainment Group has announced today (September 9) the appointment of Mark Mackay as chief executive officer of its Gold Coast operations, pending regulatory approvals. Mackay has over 18 years of experience in integrated resorts and gaming and served as chief operating officer for Crown Resorts Melbourne.
Before starting at Crown Resorts in 2017, Mackay served as the chief operating officer of The Star Gold Coast (formerly known as Jupiters Hotel and Casino). He held positions there from 2006 to 2017, when the venue was part of TABCORP.

Anne Ward, The Star chairman, said: “It gives me great pleasure to welcome Mark to The Star as Chief Executive Officer of The Star Gold Coast. Mark’s appointment and relevant experience further strengthens our leadership team as we focus on implementing the necessary reforms at The Star.

Argentina.- Mirar Mejor, iniciativa de la Gobernación y coordinada por el IPLyC de Misiones se trata de un programa donde especialistas en oftalmología recorren localidades de la provincia para brindar el servicio de controles gratuitos a la población.
En su quinta edición, el turno fue para la localidad de Loreto. Durante la mañana del día 18 de septiembre se llevó adelante un nuevo operativo del programa, donde se proporcionó atención integral oftalmológica, y decenas de personas pudieron recibir anteojos de manera gratuita.

Además de los controles de la vista y de prevención de posibles patologías, se recibieron consultas específicas y de asesoramiento por parte de un oftalmólogo de la Sociedad de Oftalmología de Misiones (SOMI).
El presidente del IPLyC, Héctor Rojas Decut, precisó que con esta iniciativa “hay un claro compromiso de la Provincia con la salud de todos los misioneros, en el que acercamos servicios esenciales que garantizan derechos y mejoramos la calidad de vida para que todos tengan una vida más plena”.
