On July 2, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning hosted a regular press conference. A reporter asked about the kidnapping and murder of Chinese citizens in the Philippines. Mao Ning stated that, upon verification, the victims included a Chinese citizen.
At that time, a friend of one of the victims, a Chinese-American named Sun, presented evidence that Sun was invited to the Philippines by the MEDEV medical equipment company. Sun's assistant provided chat records showing that the trip was at the invitation of a woman named "Lina" to discuss overseas business regarding product distribution.

On September 23, the informant told PASA staff that the family of the victims was very emotional after learning that the suspect "Lina" was arrested in Seoul, South Korea on the 22nd. Photos sent by the informant show "Lina" wearing a black baseball cap and a white hoodie, being controlled by several South Korean police officers.
The passport photo of "Lina" obtained by PASA staff shows that she was born in Taipei, Taiwan, China, with the name Chen Yuxuan on the passport, and her date of birth is May 17, 1980.
PASA staff contacted various parties for verification regarding this matter, and as of the time PASA platform went to press, no party had answered the phone.
