Colombia.- Jeisson Quiñones (27), a player for the Águilas Doradas de Antioquia soccer team, recently published an open letter on his social media in which he stated that there was an attempt to involve him in an illegal betting network through identity theft.
The post was shared by the Colombian Association of Professional Footballers (Acolfutpro) where the player expressed his "dissatisfaction and rejection" and will initiate legal actions.

The player noted: "There are unscrupulous people with bad intentions who are impersonating me, using fake phone numbers and damaging my image as a football player, to involve me in sports betting."
He also added: "As a professional, I want to make it clear that I am NOT, nor am I interested in being involved in these matters, nor have I received money from such bets."
