The UK-based Kwiff has launched a new responsible gaming tool named "Curfew." This feature allows users to block access to the platform during specific times of their choosing.
The tool is designed to help players manage their gaming activities and is a supplement to Kwiff's suite of player protection measures. Kwiff's Chief Risk Officer, Ian Perrygrove, stated: "Industry regulations do not require this level of technical expertise, but through internal collaboration, we have discovered opportunities to go beyond the minimum set of tools, and we have seen positive early usage."
Perrygrove added: "Curfew targets the player's own gaming habits, providing complete service access blockage during designated times."
The Curfew tool was developed through internal collaboration and is said to exceed industry requirements. It offers users the option to completely block access to services during specified times, providing players with the flexibility to customize their usage patterns.
Data from early users indicate that while many set restrictions after midnight, 24% of players choose to limit access during the daytime.
The launch of the Curfew tool follows other developments at Kwiff, including a partnership established in April 2024 with Kambi Group's AI-driven Tzeract division.
This collaboration integrates Tzeract's Bet Builder product, initially focused on football, with plans to expand to other sports. Additionally, Kwiff has reached a streaming agreement with Racecourse Media Group, providing users with live streaming content of horse racing from the UK and Ireland.
