Flutter Entertainment CEO Peter Jackson and MGM Resorts International CEO Bill Hornbuckle are scheduled to speak at the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas on October 8, discussing how industry leaders navigate the current economic landscape and expand into new markets and verticals.
The event will take place from October 7 to October 10, typically attracting over 25,000 attendees to Las Vegas, and will be held at The Venetian.
Peter Jackson's Ireland-based Flutter, the parent company of FanDuel, an online sports betting and fantasy sports gaming company, is one of the top two online sports betting companies in the US. The company is not permitted to operate in Nevada.
Hornbuckle will reprise his keynote from G2E 2023, where he detailed MGM's encounter with cybercriminals who infiltrated the company's computer systems causing chaos for nine days. MGM ultimately lost about $100 million due to the attack, most of which was covered by insurance.
Following the state of the industry address by Bill Miller, president of the American Gaming Association, CNBC's Contessa Brewer will interview both CEOs in two segments.
In a press release announcing the G2E opening lineup on Tuesday, Hornbuckle said: "Peter and Bill are two titans of the gaming industry, whose insights will illuminate the direction of the industry and lay the groundwork for the ideas and innovations explored during this year's G2E."
"The gaming industry is experiencing historic expansion both in the US and internationally," Miller added. "AGA and our partners at RX look forward to welcoming the global gaming community at G2E to address these increasingly broad industry priorities—whether in our keynote addresses, educational sessions, or on the expo floor."
Bill Miller's four-day event kicks off on October 7, featuring over 100 educational sessions. The two CEOs will listen to Miller's industry state report, then open the trade show floor, which will continue until October 10, showcasing hundreds of slot machines and gaming devices.
