According to Thai media, a 25-year-old Chinese man, Mr. Cao, was arrested in the Huay Kwang district of Bangkok!

This case began from June to September this year, as police intensified efforts to intercept smuggled Starlink satellite internet receivers and transmitters, SIM cards, and various electronic devices often used by cyber fraud centers and online gambling networks to scam people.

At that time, they successfully seized 86 Starlink devices and over 30,000 SIM cards.

Subsequently, further investigations by the police revealed another attempt to smuggle such devices, with packages being sent to a residential address on Pracharat Bamphen Road in the Huay Kwang district of Bangkok.

Later, when the police tracked down the target room, Mr. Cao was arrested, and officers found 10 Starlink satellite internet receivers and transmitters in his residence.

However, at the time of arrest, Mr. Cao claimed he was innocent, having just arrived in Thailand and not engaged in any illegal activities.

Mr. Cao stated that his brother-in-law, Mr. Ma, a Chinese national operating an international parcel express store in Phuket, asked Mr. Cao to stay at the address to look after the packages and receive various parcels, including arranging to send them to customers as instructed. Mr. Cao claimed he knew nothing about the contents of the packages.

Since the Thai police did not believe his statement, they have transferred him to investigators, charging him with "concealing and selling goods imported into Thailand without customs procedures."
