The government may confiscate the business and other properties of Tony Yang, a Chinese citizen who has been residing in the Philippines for a long time.

In response, former Mayor and former Congressman of Misamis Oriental, Oscar Moreno, expressed his support for the government's actions.

According to investigations by the Senate and the House of Representatives, Tony Yang has been living in the Philippines for 26 years and is suspected of being involved in illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) activities.

Moreno also revealed that he had encountered Yang at activities in the Chinese community in Cagayan de Oro City, and pointed out that Yang actually speaks Filipino, but pretended not to understand and requested a translator during the Senate hearing.

The investigation has uncovered many of Yang's business assets, and the government is planning further actions on these assets to pursue legal responsibilities.
