This represents a 10 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
Colombia.- Coljuegos reported that between January and August of 2024, lottery games, chance, and Raspa&Listo have transferred approximately COP396.940m (USD95.1m) to the Colombian health sector, which represents an 82 percent fulfillment of the total transfers planned for 2024.
In this regard, Marco Emilio Hincapié, president of Coljuegos, stated: "This figure represents a 10 percent increase in transfers compared to the same period last year. We hope to continue this growth to exceed the transfer target of territorial games, set at COP470.000m (USD112.6m) for this year."
They also explained that with these resources that were transferred to local and departmental health funds, approximately 316,000 Colombians from the subsidized regime benefit, who can access various medical services throughout the national territory.
Of the total transfers made, COP208.832m (USD50m) comes from the chance game, COP162.136m (USD38.8m) corresponds to the 15 lotteries operating in the country, and COP25.972m (USD6.2m) to Raspa&Listo.

"This increase in transfers is largely due to the actions we have taken from the National Council of Games of Luck and Chance to boost the industry through strategies such as the authorization of the use of results from foreign draws, the capitalization of lotteries, among others," indicated the president of the entity.
And he added: "This is also due to the efforts in the fight against illegality that we are making with the territorial entities, mainly to combat activities such as white chance and the counterfeiting of lottery tickets."
