The alliance, which will be held for the second year, focuses on increasing awareness about safe and responsible gaming practices. The campaign will include a strong presence in NFL stadiums.
United States.- MGM Resorts International and its subsidiary BetMGM have partnered with the American Gaming Association (AGA) to promote awareness of responsible gaming as part of Responsible Gaming Education Month, celebrated in September.
This alliance, which focuses on increasing awareness about safe and responsible gaming practices, marks the second consecutive year that both companies will bring their initiatives to the stadiums of the National Football League (NFL), significantly increasing the visibility of the GameSense program.
This year, GameSense messages will be prominently displayed in ten NFL stadiums, including Acrisure Stadium (Pittsburgh Steelers), Allegiant Stadium (Las Vegas Raiders), and MetLife Stadium (New York Jets), among others. "We are thrilled to bring Responsible Gaming initiatives directly to fans in these NFL stadiums again this season," commented Rhea Loney, chief compliance officer of BetMGM, adding: "We are setting a new standard of safety and awareness in the industry."
Joe Maloney, senior vice president of Strategic Communications at the AGA, commented: "Collaboration is essential to strengthen our collective responsibility efforts. Both in their work with the AGA and across the legal and regulated gaming industry, MGM Resorts and BetMGM continue to be leaders in forming innovative partnerships that significantly promote responsible gaming."
The program is designed to educate both novices and avid gamers about safe and responsible ways to gamble.
In addition to this stadium campaign, MGM Resorts and BetMGM have announced a series of additional initiatives for Responsible Gaming Education Month 2024. Among them, a contribution of USD 440,000 to fund research on responsible gaming, led by the International Center for Responsible Gaming and the Kindbridge Research Institute stands out.
"The importance of funding research on Responsible Gaming can never be overstated," said Stephen Martino, senior vice president and director of Regulatory Compliance at MGM Resorts, adding: "It is imperative that our company supports efforts to better understand the diverse impact that gaming has on various populations."
