Today, a report was presented at the House Quad-Committee hearing, accusing Michael Yang's brother, Tony Yang, of involvement in illegal Philippine offshore gaming operations (POGO) and other criminal activities.
Senior Deputy Speaker Aurelio Gonzales Jr. and Deputy Speaker David Suarez submitted a matrix that also highlighted the involvement of Yang's associate, Allan Lim, in what they allege to be a "criminal network."
"We may establish connections among various roles. The criminal group has infiltrated here and has been operating 'silently'—in these operations, they act recklessly, monopolize the market, and commit crimes that violate fundamental human rights—human trafficking, kidnapping, prostitution, murder, romance scams, cryptocurrency fraud, and even online scams," said Suarez.
According to Suarez, Yang and Lim used legitimate businesses to carry out their alleged criminal activities.
One such business is DCLA Plaza in Davao City, which allegedly provides a network for Yang's drug distribution operations.
The two legislators stated that they used public sources and documents from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to create a matrix linking Yang Anze to other illegal activities.
Suarez stated, "Before exposing these conspiracies, we must peel off the layers to reach the truth, and we have identified at least two main participants or participants related to illegal drug and illegal activities associated with online gambling companies."
The involved companies include Brickhartz Technology Inc., which is alleged to have been involved in multiple kidnapping cases and is linked to the POGO company Xionwei Technology Co. Ltd. associated with Lim.
These two companies are also reportedly linked to the Baofu Compound in Tarlac Province, related to the dismissed mayor Alice Guo.
Mr. Yang and Mr. Lim are also reportedly linked to the company Lucky South 99, represented by Cassandra Li Ong.
Brickhartz Technology Inc. is said to be associated with Xionwei Technology Co. Ltd. and also linked to Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corp., which is suspected of irregular procurement of medical supplies during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The matrix also shows Yang's relationship with Empire 999 Realty Corporation, which became controversial after a batch of methamphetamine worth 3.6 billion pesos was discovered in 2023 in Pampanga Province, Mexico.
The report also accuses Yang of using individuals such as Gerald Cruz, Jayson Uson, and Yugin Zheng, while Lim designated his wife, Rose Nono Lin, as the owner of 60% of his company's shares to comply with the country's business ownership laws.
Yang is also said to own multiple businesses in Cagayan de Oro City, including Yangzi Hotel and Philippine Sankaj Steel Company, which are linked to rice smuggling and human trafficking.
"They began to use various companies or individuals, by forging birth certificates and other government identity documents to impersonate Filipinos, seizing land that should belong only to Filipinos... This poses a serious threat to our national security and our sovereignty as a nation," Suarez said.
The House Quad-Committee is expected to recommend criminal, civil, and administrative lawsuits against the individuals listed.
