Veterans in Gaming Monday announced the launch of the organization. The group will serve former service members working in the casino, sports betting, igaming, and gaming supplier sectors.
“Our mission is to connect, support and foster the professional development of veterans in the gaming industry–including casinos, sports betting, iGaming and suppliers–and, most importantly, have fun while we do it,” said Chalkline CEO Daniel Kustelski, the founder of ViG, in a statement.
Kustelski, a graduate of the United State Military Academy, added that his 15 years of experience in the global gaming industry has connected him to many former service members in valuable and meaningful ways.
Veterans in Gaming will include a LinkedIn group, a soon-to-be launched website with information about the organization at VeteransInGaming.org, and regular events at industry conferences.
The first event is a ViG happy hour, October 7 at 5 p.m. at Gilley’s Saloon, Treasure Island Las Vegas, 3300 Las Vegas Boulevard. Interested participants can RSVP here: https://bit.ly/ViGHappyHourG2E2024.
