Sports data betting company Genius Sports has appointed former Google technical director Mark Kropf as its group chief technology officer.
Kropf brings over two decades of experience in technology leadership, software engineering and infrastructure management across a range of sectors. Prior to his role at google, he worked on the commercialisation of Cloud Foundry at Pivotal.
His expertise will be vital as Genius Sports expands its deployment of GeniusIQ, its next-generation sports data and AI platform, which utilises machine learning and generative AI to deliver game analysis.
Commenting on the appointment, Mark Locke, CEO of Genius sports, said: “I am thrilled to welcome Mark Kropf as our Group CTO.
