Sergey Portnov will become the owner of operator Parimatch Group after Kateryna Biloruska sold her controlling shareholding in the company.
Sources close to the transaction told iNTERGAMINGi that Portnov, previously co-owner, has also bought out other minority shareholders to become the overall owner.
Parimatch Group declined to comment on the transaction.
Biloruska confirmed on LinkedIn that she is stepping back to pursue other opportunities outside of igaming.
She said: “After more than 10 years in the dynamic world of igaming, I have decided to leave the industry, which has been a major part of my life and career. I am stepping down from my role as a board member of Energame.
“It has been a fantastic journey and a huge responsibility, and I am honoured to have been entrusted with it.
“I'm incredibly proud of the ability to launch and lead a tier-one brand in igaming on an international scale. It was my ultimate career goal to drive the rapid growth of the company, especially in technology and digital transformation.
“It's been a wild ride full of challenges, victories and invaluable lessons.”
“I am going to recharge and reflect on what's next,” Biloruska added.
“My passion is to drive positive change by identifying and supporting innovative projects and ideas. I aim to pursue new opportunities utilizing my knowledge and experience with a focus on strategic investments.”
