Honduras.- Deputy Dunia Jiménez from the Salvador Party of Honduras (PSH), announced the drafting of a bill for the regulation of online casinos in the territory. Jiménez assured that legalization would increase tax revenue and create new jobs.
In statements to the local media Radio América, the deputy announced that they are holding meetings with German businessmen representing at least 34 companies in 27 countries.
“We have been working on the draft bill for about two months, with which we seek to have a regulation of online casinos,” the parliamentarian pointed out.
“Not only Hondurans will be able to play, but also, players worldwide,” explained the official, who points out the intention to collect taxes from international players and emphasized that, in addition to collecting taxes, jobs would be generated in the Central American nation.

In this regard, Jiménez explained that with that 10 percent tax it would be used in the health sector for medical supplies and cardiovascular devices. The deputy from PSH for Cortés recalled that the above must be governed by Honduran law in order to capture those resources. Therefore, the Ministry of Interior and Justice would be in charge of the regulatory norms and concluded: “Observations that may have about this project will be heard.”
