This new scale provides academics, industry members, and other stakeholders with a new research-based tool to assess responsible gaming messages.
Press release.- The American Gaming Association (AGA) continues to support the gaming industry's commitments to responsibility during Responsible Gaming Education Month. In this regard, it launched today a Responsible Gaming Intervention Effectiveness Scale (RG-IES), the first of its kind and free to use, developed by Drs. Jonathan Ross Gilbert and Marla Stafford.
“We are proud to support this independently developed scale and want to thank AGA members, Bally’s, FanDuel, and BetMGM for providing access to players to help with the creation of RG-IES,” said AGA members.
Promoting responsible gaming is a core value of the American gaming industry, and AGA's mission is to ensure that responsible gaming messages resonate with players and achieve the intended impact.

The regulation driven by VOX will allow special controls of the rooms.
Spain.- The Municipality of Colmenar Viejo, in Madrid, approved a regulation ordinance for betting houses and gaming rooms, driven by VOX. The initiative will allow special controls in gaming venues with the goal of verifying compliance with regulations and sanctioning illegal activities.
The new ordinance, which VOX described as pioneering in the Community of Madrid, was achieved with the votes in favor of all groups except Mas Madrid. VOX stated that the project “brings a series of benefits that impact both society and the economy. Consumer protection, the prevention of gambling addiction, or the promotion of fair competition are some of the goals pursued.”
They also highlighted: “The changes in a dynamic and continuously transforming society and the need to respond to new demands that arise, entail the need for a complete review and regulatory regulation in the matter of granting authorizations for betting establishments in the municipality of Colmenar Viejo.”
The spokesperson for VOX Susana Jiménez Aibar assured that the political formation “continues to implement measures that favor the life of the municipality.”
