In compliance with Ordinance 1.475, it was announced which companies will be able to continue operating until the end of the year.
Brazil.- The Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA) of the Ministry of Finance published the list of betting sites that will be able to continue operating in Brazil until the end of this year. The list was created based on Ordinance 1.475, dated September 17, with the goal of considering only the companies that requested authorization through the Betting Management System (SIGAP) during the adaptation phase to the new rules created by the ministry.
The SPA also notified the 26 states and the Federal District, requesting them to send lists of state-authorized companies. The information sent to date by the responding states was included in the list that was announced. In the national list, 89 companies with 193 brands appear.
“This measure provides more security to society and to the companies that want to operate properly in Brazil. With this, we protect the mental and financial health of the players. Visit the Ministry of Finance website to see which betting sites can continue operating until December,” highlighted Regis Dudena, secretary of Prizes and Betting.
The sites that are not on the list published by the Ministry will no longer be able to offer bets nationally. They will remain active for the next ten days, only to facilitate the return of money to bettors. Starting October 11, these sites will begin to be phased out, with the help of the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel). Even after this date, it will still be the responsibility of the site operators to ensure the means for bettors to withdraw the deposits they are entitled to.

At the end of this transition period, which extends until the end of this year, the SPA will publish the final list of companies and websites that will be authorized to operate from January 1, 2025, when the regulated betting market in Brazil will begin. Only companies that comply with Law No. 13.756 of 2018, Law No. 14.790 of 2023, and the more than ten regulatory ordinances created this year will be able to operate.
