Genius Sports welcomes Mark Kropf as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Previously, Kropf served as the Director of Technology at Google's CTO office, where he worked on Google Cloud products for nearly five years.
He has over twenty years of experience in the technology sector, having served as the CTO of Pivotal and the General Manager of Emerging Technologies at Diebold.
Regarding his appointment, Kropf stated: "The technology at Genius Sports is redefining how the world understands and consumes sports.
"I look forward to supporting this continued growth and working with an outstanding team that has positioned Genius Sports at the forefront of sports data and technological innovation."
At Genius Sports, Kropf will be responsible for overseeing and expanding the deployment of GeniusIQ, a sports data platform that uses artificial intelligence to provide game analytics and customer experiences.
It is worth noting that Kropf currently holds five patents in various technology fields, including banking systems and vulnerability notifications.
Artificial intelligence models allow for the automatic creation of content as well as personalized engagement and advertising opportunities.

Genius Sports collaborates with over 400 sports organizations worldwide, including the NFL, Nascar, and Liga MX.
Earlier this month, there were reports that Genius Sports might acquire Kambi, although both companies denied these reports, speculation continues.
The current stock price of Genius is $7.84, down 3.7% from the previous trading day, but up 10% from last month.
