The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Sec. Jonvic Remulla stated that the government's actions against Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) will continue under his leadership.
In an interview in Villamor, the minister said that the department will conduct a final inspection of online gambling companies and must ensure that they are all shut down by December 15.
He also mentioned that he will personally inspect the locations hosting online gambling companies to ensure they are locked up and no longer in operation.
Remulla reiterated that their family does not own the online gambling center located in the former island bay of Jia Mei Di, but he stated that he will prioritize its closure to demonstrate his commitment to his duties and campaign promises.
