Inspired Entertainment announces the expansion of its sports portfolio through a new licensing agreement with the National Hockey League (NHL).
The deal grants Inspired the rights to develop interactive fixed-odds virtual sports games branded with NHL trademarks, including league logos, club jerseys, and team names, aiming to attract the North American market and global NHL fans.
The NHL integrated products are expected to officially launch in the fourth quarter of this year.
Inspired's President and CEO, Brooks Pierce, commented on the new agreement, saying: "We are thrilled to partner with the NHL and expand our product offerings through this license.
"This product will appeal to players in North America as well as markets like Scandinavia and Eastern Europe.
Good news: Inspired plans to incorporate its motion capture technology in the new games to create an engaging and realistic gaming experience.
"This agreement enhances our virtual sports product portfolio, aligning with our mission to provide interactive experiences that redefine sports entertainment, offering NHL fans a unique way to stay connected to the games even during the off-season."
Chris Golier, NHL's Vice President of Business Development and Innovation, added: "The popularity of virtual sports games continues to grow globally. We are excited to partner with Inspired to leverage NHL assets to engage our passionate fans through virtual sports.
"Inspired is a leader in the field, and they will use NHL IP to offer a game experience that connects with our fans in a new and exciting way, helping to expand our global fan base."
Inspired has also established a partnership with William Hill, and the two companies have launched a new slot game called "William Hill Vegas Gold Cash Freespins."
