The leader of the Civic Front, national senator Luis Juez, met with the councilors of the provincial capital to outline new policies after Law 10.793 was ratified across the Córdoba territory less than a month ago.
Argentina.- On September 19, the Córdoba Legislature ratified the validity of Law 10.793 which regulates the operation of online gambling throughout the province. During the parliamentary debate, various opposition sectors sought the repeal of the law, something that ultimately did not happen by only one vote.
Now, the leader of the opposition party Civic Front, national senator Luis Juez, met with the councilors of the city of Córdoba to «deepen the debate» on online gambling.
Juez highlighted the importance of “joining forces to face a growing problem among the youth” and emphasized the need to establish clear and effective policies that regulate online gambling in the city of Córdoba.
On the matter, concrete actions were proposed and guidelines were established to carry out the work for the remainder of the year. For this purpose, senator Juez presented a series of guidelines that the party will follow regarding this situation and how its debate will be approached in the last quarter of the year.
However, despite bringing the issue back to the scene, the truth is that no ordinance or measure that reaches the local Legislative Power is contemplated. The emphasis will be placed on analyzing the compliance with the modifications introduced to Law 10.793 that will begin to be applied this month.
