Asia Pioneer Entertainment Holdings Limited (APE), a renowned distributor of gaming products in Macau, has appointed Maria Garcia as a member of its board of directors. This appointment, effective from September 30, 2024, marks a significant milestone since the company's listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2017, with Garcia becoming the first female director at APE.
Connection between Garcia and APE
Garcia's association with APE dates back to 2006 when she first joined the company as the Director of Corporate Sales and Marketing. After working in that position for six years, she left to explore other opportunities in the gaming industry and even started her own company. However, her relationship with APE did not end there. In 2020, she rejoined the company as a business consultant and in December 2022, she once again took up the role of Director of Sales for Macau and Southeast Asia. During this period, she played a key role in driving the company's growth in the Macau and Southeast Asian markets.
Garcia has over 36 years of professional experience, nearly 20 of which have been spent accumulating extensive experience in the gaming industry. Her leadership roles in sales and marketing have given her a deep understanding of the industry. Her return to APE as a director reflects her professional capability in addressing challenges in the gaming industry, especially in the aftermath of the global pandemic.
A New Chapter for APE
Garcia's appointment to the board will bring new perspectives to APE. Her leadership is expected to strengthen the company's position in the gaming markets of Macau and Southeast Asia. With her extensive industry connections and a successful track record, APE is poised for further development and seizing new opportunities under her guidance.
