The gaming industry trade association has paid tribute to Steve Sutherland for his excellence in commercial gaming professionalism.
Press release.- Konami Gaming has announced that its president and CEO, Steve Sutherland, has received the Jens Halle Memorial Award 2024 from the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers’ (AGEM) during the official award ceremony at the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) in Las Vegas.
Sutherland was selected for his excellence in commercial gaming professionalism, embodying business success, attention to detail, evident humanity, willingness to go the extra mile, and enduring dedication to the health of the industry as a whole.
Steve Sutherland, who has spent over three decades of his career in the gaming supplier sector, is a central figure and a long-time advocate for the responsible advancement of the gaming industry.
Bob Parente, chairman of the AGEM board, stated: "Throughout his career, Steve has been an executive-minded individual who knows how to lead, manage, and operate a business at an extremely high level".

The Jens Halle Memorial Award was established in 2015 by AGEM to recognize the enduring impact of industry veteran Jens Halle, following his unexpected passing. Steve Sutherland is the ninth recipient of this award since its inception. This recognition comes as Sutherland is about to celebrate 25 years at Konami Gaming, seven of them as president and CEO.
