According to Philippine media reports, on October 10th, Philippine Senator Hontiveros stated at a press conference that the dismissed mayor of Banban town in Tarlac province, Alice Guo, revealed that 10 Filipinos and Chinese were involved in the operation of the Banban gaming center.
Hontiveros said that the names mentioned by Guo and other information she disclosed are still being verified. "There are truths and falsehoods, so these names are still under verification. I can't give an exact count because I don't know which of the disclosures made by Guo are true and which are false," she said.
Hontiveros added, "Once we complete the committee report, we will disclose those we believe are truly involved, not just based on what she said, but also on other evidence we have gathered, including participants in the Philippine offshore gaming industry and Guo's accomplices in her escape."
When asked how many names Guo had disclosed, Hontiveros said there were only 10, or fewer.
Gilbert Cruz, the Executive Director of the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC), mentioned that the names frequently brought up by Guo during the hearings were those who are no longer in the Philippines and have gone abroad.
