Total sports betting revenue across online and retail in Kansas, US, rose over 100 per cent year-on-year in September.
The Kansas Lottery reported that total revenue was US$18.3m in September, up 127.2 per cent from $8.1m in September 2023.
Total handle rose 13.5 per cent from $219.3m to $248.9m. Subsequent tax revenue in Kansas hit $1.8m, also up 127.2 per cent year-on-year.
Month-on-month, there was an even bigger rise in revenue, which climbed 178.6 per cent from August’s $6.6m.
Handle rose 69.3 per cent month-on-month from $147m while taxes also rose 178.6 per cent.
In the online sports betting sector, revenue in Kansas was $17.6m in September, up 131.4 per cent and 172.7 per cent year-on-year and month-on-month, respectively.
Online sports betting handle climbed 19.3 per cent year-on-year to $239.8m and there was an even bigger rise of 67.8 per cent month-on-month from $142.9m.
