Maryland's six casinos reported $159.5 million in gaming revenue for September 2024, marking a 2.8% increase compared to the same period last year, according to figures released by the state's lottery and gaming agency.

The revenue boost led to $68.7 million in contributions to the state, a 3.4% rise from September 2023. Of that, $49.5 million went to Maryland's Education Trust Fund, which saw a 3.5% increase from last year.

The state's casinos, which include prominent establishments like MGM National Harbor and Live! Casino & Hotel, continue to play a vital role in funding education, local communities, the horse racing industry, and minority- and women-owned businesses.

MGM National Harbor in Prince George’s County led the pack, generating $66.95 million in revenue, an 8% year-on-year increase. Live! Casino & Hotel in Anne Arundel County followed with $59.6 million, up 2%.

In contrast, Baltimore's Horseshoe Casino saw a 9.2% decline, bringing in $13.12 million. Other casinos had mixed results, with Ocean Downs Casino seeing a slight uptick of 0.3% to $8.76 million, while Hollywood Casino Perryville and Rocky Gap Casino Resort experienced decreases of 0.9% and 8.0%, respectively.
