This year's edition will include the participation of public welfare entities beyond sports institutions.
Argentina.- With the presence of Deputy Governor Silvana Schneider, the official launch of the Deporbingo 2024 took place, an initiative by Lotería Chaqueña aimed at clubs and sports institutions, which this year will feature a significant novelty, as it will also allow the participation of all public welfare entities in the province.
“Thanks to an idea from Governor Leandro Zdero, this year we decided to expand the game so that not only sports entities but also all non-profit organizations can participate,” emphasized the deputy governor during the presentation held at the Jaime Zapata Sports Center, where she was accompanied by the president of Lotería Chaqueña, Lucas Apud Masín and the head of the Chaco Sports Institute, Fabio Vázquez.
Deporbingo is an initiative aimed at providing responses to clubs and civil entities in the province, as through the sale of bingo cards they can raise their own funds. This year, the card will have a retail price of AR$ 5,000 (USD 5), with a direct profit for the institutions of 70 percent, which amounts to AR$ 3,500 (USD 3.5) per card sold.
Schneider highlighted the importance of this proposal that allows direct assistance to “these public welfare institutions that are actors of social containment and that are fundamental for the well-being of thousands of children, youth, and adults throughout the province”.
“It is a product that has been consolidating year after year with very good results and that is designed so that clubs and other entities can finance infrastructure works, trips, equipment, sports clothing, and other projects,” remarked Apud Masín during the event that also featured the presence of the Undersecretary of State Modernization, Federico Valdés, authorities from Lotería Chaqueña, the Association of Agents and Subagents, and directors from more than twenty clubs from various parts of the province.
For his part, the president of the Chaco Sports Institute considered it to be “an excellent tool for sports institutions” because “it allows reaching all the clubs in the province with the same opportunities so that they can fulfill their dreams”.
