Near the red lanterns in Sihanoukville, a Chinese man fell from a high floor of a casino and died on the spot.
Last night, the Sihanoukville police released their investigation findings, determining that the deceased committed suicide.
After the investigation, the police stated that the deceased was named Li Mai (transliterated), a 34-year-old computer technician who lived in room 712 of the casino where the incident occurred. On the night of the incident, he jumped from the high building and died instantly.
It is reported that at the time of the incident, Li's father was also in the room. He told the police after the incident that he did not allow his son to frequently play mobile games, which led to his son's suicide.
The Sihanoukville police stated that based on the investigation and forensic results, the Chinese man indeed committed suicide due to psychological issues.
