Brazil.- State Lotteries of Paraná (Lottopar) successfully held the first Responsible Gaming Week in Curitiba. The event, which took place from October 7 to October 11, brought together national and international experts to discuss the importance of education and awareness in the field of sports betting.
The week began with an in-person session at the Canal da Música, which quickly sold out its registrations. During the opening, Elisandro Frigo, general superintendent of Governance of Services and Data of the Government of Paraná, highlighted the crucial role of regulation in creating a fair and transparent betting market. Frigo emphasized that regulation has allowed resources that were previously lost abroad to now be allocated to government programs and the promotion of responsible gaming.
Daniel Romanowski, president director of Lottopar, reaffirmed the institution's commitment to promoting a safe and responsible gaming environment in Paraná. To this end, Lottopar has partnered with leading organizations in responsible gaming and sports integrity such as the Union of Lotteries for Integrity in Sports (ULIS), the World Lottery Association (WLA), and Cibelae.
Throughout the week, key topics for the development of a responsible gaming ecosystem were addressed:
