The history of casino gaming in the Southern United States will be featured at the National Council of Legislators from Gaming States Winter Meeting, December 12-15, at Caesars New Orleans in Louisiana.
According to the NCLGS, Southern gaming experts will explain gaming in the region, from the introduction of riverboat gambling to the development of casinos with resorts, hotels, attractions, and restaurants. The experts will discuss continued expansion and momentum for new projects that affect the region, and if the South will rival the North in gaming popularity in next decade.

The NCLGS is the only organization of state lawmakers that meets on a regular basis to discuss issues related to gaming. NCLGS neither promotes nor opposes gaming but is focused on proper regulation and promoting best practices in the governance of this important industry.
