In the early hours of October 17th, a shooting incident occurred in a private room of a hotpot restaurant in Makati, Philippines. The suspect and the victim are believed to be Chinese. A leaked surveillance video from the room shows a man in black firing seven shots at a shirtless man, who then falls to the ground and does not get up.
The surveillance timestamp reads approximately 2:30 AM on October 17th. After the shooting, a woman in white stands by the fallen shirtless man and asks in Chinese, "What should we do?" The man in black responds, "Let's go, come on." The woman in white says, "I'm not leaving, we need to take him to the hospital." The man in black replies, "He's not going to make it."
Then, the man in black tells a man in blue who has been sitting the whole time, "Clean this place up immediately." He then asks the woman in white, "Are you coming or not?" After she refuses, the man in black tells the man in blue, "Take good care of Dandan (phonetic)."
On October 18th, an informed source told reporters that after the incident, the person in charge of the hotpot restaurant was taken to the police station for investigation. The restaurant has since been closed. On the same day, the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines informed reporters that they have intervened in the matter, but details are currently not disclosed.
