Five machines adapted for gambling were seized, operating clandestinely.
Bolivia.- The Authority of Gaming Regulation (AJ) conducted a new operation against illegal gambling in the city of Cochabamba, where they managed to intervene in a gaming venue that lacked the necessary authorizations. The venue is located in the Sarcobamba area.
During the operation, AJ personnel proceeded to the seizure of five machines adapted for gambling that were operating clandestinely. Additionally, authorities were able to identify the person responsible for the venue, who will be subjected to the corresponding legal processes for the development of this activity.
According to the authorities, for this incident, the owner of the venue will face a fine of 5,000 UFV’s (Housing Promotion Units) for each gaming machine seized.
The AJ also carried out an operation in the municipality of Portachuelo, in the department of Santa Cruz, where 10 slot machines operating clandestinely were seized. The venue was located just a few blocks from an educational establishment.
After a follow-up effort, the authorities managed to detect and intervene in the illegal gaming room that was operating in a neighborhood store set up in a house.

The operations add to another intervention that took place on Avenida Alemana in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. AJ personnel managed to confiscate 56 gambling machines that were operating illegally in a venue specially adapted for this activity.
