The Dutch Gaming Authority (KSA) has issued a fine to Winbet NV for providing unlicensed gambling games in the Netherlands.
According to Dutch law, operating gambling games without a valid license is prohibited, hence Winbet has been ordered to immediately cease its operations or face increasing financial penalties.
An investigation by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia revealed that Winbet offered illegal gambling through four websites: galaxyspins.com, winnercasino1.bet, superb1.bet, and doctorspins.com.
As a result, if the violations continue, the authorities will impose a fine of 280,000 euros (approximately $302,000) per week, up to a maximum of 840,000 euros.
An investigation by the National Bank of Saudi Arabia showed that users on these websites could create accounts, deposit funds, and participate in gambling activities without any restrictive measures to prevent Dutch players from participating.
It is worth noting that KSA has issued several similar penalties in recent months to protect Dutch consumers.
In recent months, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has implemented a series of similar penalties.
For example, just last week, the National Bank of Saudi Arabia imposed a nearly identical fine on BlockDance BV because the company offered unlicensed gambling through the websites bc.game and bcgame.lu.
Although BlockDance initially attempted to block Dutch players from accessing, KSA's monitoring showed that access to the gambling sites had resumed, ultimately leading to the aforementioned penalties.
