Several clubs detected suspicious movements in the betting market.
Argentina.- Soccer is one of the sports that has seen the most match-fixing cases over the past year in Argentina. In fact, a well-known law firm has warned about its increase, particularly in the lower divisions.
The firm has notified several clubs about suspicious movements in the betting market, most of which are illegal, involving significant sums in lower division matches, with a special focus on the reserve teams of the ascent.

In August, the reserve team of Fénix was defeated 8-0 by Excursionistas, which led the board to question the performance of their team and to dismiss the coach, as well as several players. This incident, along with other routs in the same category, has raised suspicions about possible match-fixing by betting houses.
The club Laferrere, also from the B Metropolitana, was involved in a similar issue after accumulating numerous defeats, which resulted in the expulsion of two players for alleged irregularities.
It is worth noting that the football reserves are more susceptible to these illegal practices, as they tend to be out of the media spotlight compared to the higher divisions.
