Atlas World Sports has acquired the daily fantasy sports (DFS) platform Lockspread.com, aiming to expand its product range in the sports betting and fantasy sports markets.
Lockspread operates in 23 states and will integrate its DFS services with the existing platform of Atlas World Sports, adding new features for users.
Lockspread has built a user base through data-driven advertising and media partnerships. This acquisition marks a significant step for Atlas World Sports, which aims to strengthen its position in the sports betting and fantasy sports sectors.
Reports indicate that by integrating Lockspread's DFS platform, users will have access to a wider range of DFS formats, as well as Atlas World Sports' sports betting products, which aggregate multiple sports betting options and odds into one platform.
The new features are expected to enhance the user experience by offering more betting options and real-time data tools.
Good news: The relaunch of Lockspread and its integration with the Atlas app is expected to be completed by early 2025, with Kevin Koeppel leading the new fantasy sports division.
The growth of Lockspread comes as other companies like Wanna.com expand their DFS products. In September 2024, Wanna.com launched Wanna Parlay, a customizable DFS app that allows users to participate in parlay contests to win cash rewards.
