The igaming market in Ontario, Canada, continued its quarterly growth trend in Q2, during which online gaming revenue rose 1.7 per cent.
Between July 1 and September 30 this year, revenue hit CA$738m, which was up 35.4 per cent year-on-year.
Total wagers were $18.4bn, up 1.6 per cent over Q1 and rising 31.7 per cent from Q2 last year.
The overseeing body of online gaming in the province, iGaming Ontario, said 75 per cent of Q3 gaming revenue, or $553m, came from casino games including slots, live casino and peer-to-peer bingo.
These verticals accounted for 86 per cent of wagers.
Betting, including on sports, esports, prop and novelty bets, accounted for 12 per cent of wagers and 23 per cent of gaming revenue ($167m). Peer-to-peer (P2P) poker accounted for the final 2.2 per cent ($417m) of total wagers and $18m (2.4 per cent) of gaming revenue.
