In the second half of October, the Eightroom Vpag Group conducted internal training sessions with both in-person and remote participation from their marketing, sales, finance, compliance, and product teams. The trainings aimed to guide employees on regulatory issues related to the iGaming industry in Brazil.

The initiative, which lasted three days, covered different regulatory aspects to meet the requirements of responsible gaming, affiliation, payments, and other legal and commercial aspects necessary for strengthening the company's operations in the regulated Brazilian market.

On the first day, the workshop focused on measures related to marketing, advertising, and promotion of responsible gaming. The newly created Integrity Committee of Eightroom Vpag aimed to list, exemplify, and establish flows and processes for correct alignment with the guidelines of Annex X of Conar, and the responsible gaming policies of Ordinance 1,231 from the Secretariat of Prizes and Bets, thus reinforcing its commitment to ethics and integrity in the advertising of operators in national territory.

Júlia Alves, compliance officer of the Group, summarized the initiative by saying: "The workshop was important to align our team on the new guidelines for advertising betting houses. Besides being a meeting point, clarification, and exposure of the changes we are undergoing in this industry, it was an opportunity to reaffirm with all our employees our commitment to the ethics and integrity of our company".

With a focus on consolidation in the financial market, the workshops also addressed the fundamental role of Vpag and Pay in the group's expansion strategies.

In August 2024, Pay, a member of the Eightroom Group, obtained a license from the Central Bank of Brazil (Bacen), becoming a Payment Institution (IP). This milestone consolidated its position in the financial market and the iGaming sector, ensuring that its operations are in full compliance with the regulatory requirements of the country.

Thus, the following two days of the workshop were dedicated to the financial market, with sector experts offering an in-depth view of the best practices and the interconnectivity of the Brazilian payment arrangement.

For this, The Sharp Fintech Consultoria, represented by experts Luciano Fantin, Aciane Marino, and Manoel Jordão, conducted the training that has helped Eightroom Vpag navigate smoothly in the highly regulated environment of the Central Bank of Brazil.

Employees were trained on the operation of the financial system and risk management mechanisms, essential to ensure the sustainability of the group's operations. The inclusion of Vpag and Pay as new products in Eightroom's range of solutions was highlighted as a strategic step. This move involves the same level of diligence required of traditional banking institutions, reinforcing the importance of robust financial management and compliance with norms.

On the third and last day, the focus was on compliance, a critical theme for both the payment and iGaming sectors. The main challenges faced by the industry and the necessary measures to ensure customer safety and compliance with current regulations were discussed.

Case studies were analyzed to reinforce the need for constant adaptation to market changes, with the goal of ensuring excellence in all company operations.

Regarding these days focused on the financial market and compliance, Pay's commercial director, Bernardo Bicarano, stated: "We brought together employees from the entire group to prepare for what lies ahead, considering the scenario we operate within under the wings of Bacen. This moment is crucial, as it serves as a learning and alignment opportunity among the teams and the main debate for what we aim to achieve in the future and how we plan to structure our team according to the group's dreams".

In addition to the training, the group is also preparing to participate in SBC Miami 2024, which will take place next week (29 to 31). The event is recognized as an important platform for networking and business expansion in the iGaming sector.

Eightroom Vpag has a constant presence at major global industry events, and to schedule a meeting with one of the company's representatives, simply contact through the form available on the group's website.
