BETER presents a comprehensive report comparing betting trends in efootball during the Euro 2024 and Copa América 2024 tournaments.

Press Release – BETER has published a report showing a significant shift in player preferences towards fast, 24-hour available betting content. The report, "Betting on eFootball during Euro and Copa America 2024", indicates an increase in demand and engagement with the "ESportsBattle eFootball" product during both tournaments.

During Euro 2024 and Copa América, bettors showed increased interest in their eFootball offerings, with an 11.4 percent increase in the number of unique bettors, a 12.8 percent increase in the number of bets, and a 13.4 percent increase in business volume across all platforms of associated operators offering "ESportsBattle" content.

The demand for "eFootball" peaked at the end of Euro 2024 and Copa América, which were held on a "super Sunday" of football on July 14.

In the following days (July 15 and 16), when no matches were played, BETER recorded the highest levels of participation and turnover in "eFootball."

This followed a similar trend throughout Euro 2024, where participation in "eFootball" spiked on days when no matches were played.

On match days, the number of bets and average turnover in "eFootball" increased across all time slots, with the highest growth recorded in the evening, just after the matches concluded.

For example, from 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM, the average business volume increased by 23 percent and remained high for several hours afterward. Regarding the types of bets made, the most popular were totals (55 percent of the betting volume), three-way outcomes (23 percent), and next goal (9 percent), which increased by more than 20 percent.

BETER's "eFootball" product includes three formats, the fast and spectacular "Volta" (lasting a total of six minutes) plus the more traditional 2x4 and 2x6 minute formats.

During the period analyzed in the report, the 2x4 format remained the most demanded, with an average turnover increase of 14.7 percent, followed by the 2x6, which saw a growth of 15.2 percent – Volta also enjoyed an increase of 9.4 percent in the number of bets and turnover.

The report supports the shift towards fast betting content that operators are observing. Additionally, players also want access to sports and betting opportunities 24 hours a day, especially when there is no live action, something offered by products like BETER's eFootball.

The "ESportsBattle" tournaments set the pace in esports betting, offering more than 35,000 events per month in popular disciplines such as "efootball", "ebasketball", "ehockey", and CS2, with up to 50 markets per event. Live streaming is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, so bettors can enjoy uninterrupted action with an average margin of 7.5 percent + for operators.

George Arabatlian, head of account management at BETER, stated: "This report underscores a significant shift in player behavior: bettors are eager to engage in football-related content, even in the absence of live matches. This is where our 24/7 'eFootball' product really shines, providing continuous entertainment and betting opportunities."

"The data also highlight a growing trend towards fast and dynamic betting experiences, which are resolved quickly and keep players engaged."
