Aristocrat has obtained the first gaming-related supplier license issued by the Gaming and Casino Regulation Authority (GCGRA) of the United Arab Emirates.
This will enable Aristocrat to offer its portfolio of electronic gaming machines in physical casinos, and provide its online slot libraries and technological solutions to other commercial operators licensed by the GCGRA.
To obtain this license, Aristocrat had to comply with stringent regulations enforced by federal entities before it could operate within this jurisdiction.
Although GCGRA has only recently started issuing licenses, this indeed means that the only venue with a commercial gaming license – Wynn Resorts – will have its casino floors filled with Aristocrat slot games.
Hector Fernandez, CEO of Aristocrat's gaming division, stated: "We are honored to be the first major international technology provider to receive a gaming-related supplier license, serving the UAE market.
"At Aristocrat, our vision is to enable players around the world to enjoy the best gaming experience anytime, anywhere. We look forward to achieving this goal by providing high-quality content to UAE players, while promoting responsible gaming."
This new jurisdiction was announced after Anne Tucker was appointed as the new Chief Legal Officer of Aristocrat.
Prior to joining Aristocrat in 2021, she held senior global legal and corporate secretary positions in various organizations, including Corporate Travel Management, Tatts Group, and UniTab.
Earlier this month, Aristocrat won three major awards at the Global Gaming Awards Americas.
