The Ministry of Finance, through the Secretariat of Prizes and Bets (SPA), will sign on this Tuesday, the 29th, Technical Cooperation Agreements (ACTs) with four betting monitoring and integrity organizations: Sportradar, Genius Sports, International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA), and Sport Integrity Global Alliance (Siga and Siga Latin America).
The signing ceremony is by invitation only and will be held at 11 am, in the auditorium of the Ministry of Finance headquarters, located in Block P of the Esplanade of Ministries. The event can be followed via live stream on the Ministry of Finance's YouTube channel.
The entities that will sign the agreement are:
- Genius Sports;
- International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA);
- Sport Integrity Global Alliance (Siga and Siga Latin America);
- Sportradar.
Objectives of the technical cooperation agreement
The Technical Cooperation Agreements aim to strengthen the monitoring and integrity of betting activities in Brazil, establishing a safer and more transparent environment for bettors and operators. With these partnerships, it is expected to reduce risks of result manipulation and improve the regulation of the sector in the country.
Next steps for the regulation of betting in Brazil
After the signing of the ACTs, the expectation is that new measures will be adopted to enhance the governance and transparency of sports betting in Brazil, involving even more partnerships with companies in the sector.
