What are the gray industrial parks in Myawaddy: KK Park, Jinzhou Park, Dongfeng Park, Century Park, Elephant Park, Triumph Park, Ok Park also known as Ding Sheng Park, Venus Park, Dongmei Park, Fuli Park, Baisheng Park...
However, today we are not talking about Myawaddy, but about the Jiaoke Park located 2 kilometers away from here.
Last month, Hong Kong media reported that a Hong Kong man was deceived by a quick-money advertisement on Facebook to go there.
He was supposed to go to Thailand, and someone was supposed to meet him upon arrival. However, the person who met him took him towards Myanmar, drove for eight or nine hours, crossed a river leaving Thai jurisdiction, and directly took him to Jiaoke Park in the southeastern part of Myanmar, Karen State.
Fortunately, he managed to communicate with his family through IG and WhatsApp, and with the help of government departments and enthusiastic civilians, after staying there for 5 months, his family paid a ransom of 160,000, and the park released him. (According to chat records, it seems that the park does not like to take Hong Kong people. The reason is unknown)
Jiaoke Park, located on the west side of the Moei River between Karen State in southeastern Myanmar and Tak Province in Thailand, is named after Jiaoke Village nearby, not far from Thaichang Park. Following this river north for 25 kilometers, you reach Myawaddy.
This area is under the control of Myanmar rebels, who are in a state of conflict with the government forces, and battles occur from time to time. Moreover, this area is located at the border between Myanmar and Thailand, so the security management is very chaotic. It is rumored to be the darkest park in southeastern Myanmar. No wonder the Hong Kong man had to notify the military when discussing the ransom. It seems like a good way to share the spoils! (Below: Inside view of the park)
In the process of researching, I also found another reason why the military or local forces are willing to protect the scam parks. Myanmar, Laos, and Cambodia are countries with private land ownership, and in the border areas like Myawaddy along the Thai-Myanmar border, there are large amounts of unclaimed land. Some local officials or military forces preemptively purchase or seize the land, then resell it for development.
The landowner of Fuli Park in Myawaddy is a member of the Karen Border Guard Force (BGF). And its investor is also from Fujian, named Su Shumu, nicknamed Bald.
Therefore, the military and officials who own these lands are the biggest protectors of the scam parks! (Below: Distribution map of various forces and parks)
Returning to Jiaoke Park. It is reported that the Chinese boss of this park is from Fujian, and there is also a Thai boss. The park has a very close relationship with the Thai military, with about 2000 people imprisoned, many of whom directly act as the park's security and property management. Here, beating and electrocuting people are common practices. Electric batons, dark rooms, and water cells are also commonly used torture methods.
Insiders have revealed that the supervisors in the park often beat and electrocute people, causing injuries, disabilities, mental breakdowns, and even deaths, and there have even been suicides due to unbearable torture.
Here, one has to work at least 16-18 hours a day, and if there is performance, it can be reduced to 12-14 hours.
It is reported that in addition to Thaisong scam park, there are also Apollo scam park, Hengsheng Phase I (also known as Elephant Park), Baisheng Park, and Jinxin Park. These five scam parks in Myawaddy are known as the Five Alliance.
The parks also trade people among themselves, each park has property management personnel specifically for this purpose. For example, if a company in Thaisong Park wants to sell a person, it will directly send a message to the group, and if a company in Baisheng wants to buy this person, the property management personnel of Thaisong will coordinate, and then the company management personnel will bring two soldiers to pick up the person. The internal transfer price is generally within 100,000 to 150,000.
So, instead of letting employees with no performance return to their country, it is better to circulate and sell them within Myawaddy, imprisoning them in one scam park for a year and a half, then transferring them to another scam park for another year and a half, and then continuing to rotate and trade them among several parks.
Many people have been in the parks for years and cannot return home, and this is the reason.
Even if the family is willing to pay a high price to save them, the scam companies are not willing, insisting on transferring the person to another scam park to continue the torture.
They lack not ransom, but more concern for their own safety.
It has been said that the current center of the world's scam operations is in Southeast Asia; the scam park with the most personnel in Southeast Asia is currently in Cambodia; the major disaster areas for human trafficking and kidnapping are the Philippines and Myawaddy in Myanmar!
This transfer price is actually lower than the ransom, so why not just ransom the person directly?
Because many victims are actually deceived by acquaintances. If the family pays the ransom and takes them back, and then they report it, the person who sold them would be exposed.

At the end of last year, there were also netizens who revealed that the Jiaoke Thaisong Park was previously called AA Park, now changed to CC Park. The owner and one of the shareholders is from Quanzhou, and he does not plan to return to the country.
Due to severe abuse in the park, those with no performance are scalded with boiling water, and several have been beaten to death. Two girls even agreed to hang themselves in the dormitory.
Until last November, several major families such as Ming and Bai were cracked down, and notorious parks such as Daqili Changhong Park (formerly Youhua Park), Myawaddy's Xingchen Park, KK Park, Dongfeng, Century, Jinzhou, and other parks began to issue announcements one after another: prohibiting the forced buying and selling of employees and the employment of minors, prohibiting corporal punishment of employees and excessively long working hours. Employees are free to resign.
Asia Pacific even issued an announcement prohibiting the purchase, private possession, and use of handcuffs, rubber batons, electric batons, and other police equipment.
Later, some companies, seeing that the Ming, Bai, and other four major families were broken, feared becoming the next target to be attacked, and began to disperse employees. KK employees announced on November 19 that employees who wanted to return could sign up.
Although the process was arduous, some resigned employees indeed managed to return to their hometowns. (Below: Netizen submission)
Now, while KK Park is keeping a low profile, Jiaoke Park is becoming more rampant.
According to a Filipino who was deceived there, Jiaoke Park not only abuses Chinese people but also electrocutes people to death every day. After the Filipino woman failed to pay a compensation of 50,000 US dollars, Jiaoke Park sold her to another company.
Sounds familiar, doesn't it?
Now, with various countries in Southeast Asia joining forces to crack down on scam operations, Jiaoke Park is still so blatant. It seems that another "KK Park" has emerged.
