According to Thai media, the Pattaya Police Station in Chonburi Province received a report of a shooting at the entrance of a Thai barbecue hotpot restaurant on Phetchatrakul Road in Pattaya City, causing panic among diners and foreign tourists inside the restaurant. Subsequently, local police were dispatched to the scene for investigation.
It is reported that upon arrival, the police only found a pair of shoes and a red motorcycle, with both the suspect and the victim missing. Eyewitnesses at the scene revealed that at the time of the incident, four to five Thai men surrounded and beat the victim.
Then, one of them pulled out a handgun and fired shots into the air, causing panic at the scene. The suspect took the opportunity to lift the victim into a black sedan and quickly drove away, with the license plate number unknown, followed closely by a white pickup truck speeding behind.
Surveillance video from the scene shows the four to five men punching and kicking the victim. Due to the angle of the surveillance camera, some details were not captured, and it is unclear whether the victim was shot. Local police have coordinated with major hospitals to investigate whether any patients resembling the victim have sought treatment. As for the suspect, the police will accelerate the investigation, aiming to arrest and prosecute them according to legal procedures as soon as possible.
