Supplier Fazi has announced that it has obtained full certification in the Brazilian market and has secured a license ahead of the opening of the iGaming and sports betting market in the Brazilian New Year.
As part of the Novomatic Group, Fazi will now seek to introduce its online gaming portfolio to a range of local operators in the highly sought-after Brazilian market. The organization aims to undertake a series of expansion initiatives in the Latin American region, including the recent launch of the Mega Pay machine in Colombia, marking its first foray into Latin America's largest market.
In addition to recent expansion efforts in South America, Fazi also partnered with Greece's NetBet in December last year to help the operator enter the market. This move was taken after Fazi signed an additional cooperation agreement with Reevo, allowing Fazi access to Reevo's internal studios.
It is worth noting that yesterday, Sportradar and IBIA also signed a cooperation agreement with the Brazilian Ministry of Finance based on betting integrity.
Regarding this latest news, a Fazi spokesperson stated: "Obtaining Brazilian certification is a key step in our regional development strategy. We are excited to push our mature gaming solutions to the market and look forward to establishing lasting partnerships here."
Following the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies' announcement in December 2023 of the approval of a bill regulating online gambling and sports betting, Brazil embarked on a challenging journey towards comprehensive regulation and an open market.
In October, the government had already begun to remove unlicensed gambling institutions from its market ahead of the New Year's opening.
