The CEO of GeWeTe commemorates his silver anniversary.
Press release.- On November 1st, the CEO of GeWeTe, Aristidis Tsikouras, celebrated his 25 years of service at Merkur Group.
Based in Troisdorf, Tsikouras began his career in 1999 as a sales representative for adp Merkur. In 2003, he was appointed head of sales at GeWeTe Geldwechsel- und Sicherheitstechnik GmbH in Mechernich, where he was responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing operations in the areas of project management, sales, and graphic design/trade fairs.
In 2006, he was granted general commercial representation powers (Prokura) and in 2008, he joined the executive board as the sales director. Since mid-2013, as managing director, he has been responsible for all corporate functions except for development and quality management.
Since 2019, Tsikouras, aged 52, is the sole managing director of the money management specialist. Reflecting on his career, he said: "I have always felt a great trust in Merkur Group. From the beginning, I had the opportunity to take on personnel responsibility and lead a company. For this, I am very grateful."
As managing director, Tsikouras handles the operational and strategic management of GeWeTe in consultation with the Merkur Group management. His duties also include representing the company nationally and internationally to clients and business partners, as well as the final planning, management, and control of all business processes. The development and implementation of national and international product and market strategies are also within his competencies. He is proud not only of GeWeTe's market leadership in Germany but also of the effective internationalization of the company and its successful entry into the US market.

Tsikouras added: "Enjoying my work has always been important to me and I still enjoy it as much as 25 years ago. The Board of Directors and the entrepreneurial family have always provided me with encouragement and support. I would also like to thank my colleagues at GeWeTe at home and abroad, who have been doing a great job for decades." Tsikouras is married and has two children. Outside of work, he engages in sports and is a fan of the football club 1. FC Köln.
